SCYO Orchestral groups

SCYO Orchestral Groups are :

• Concert Orchestra conducted by Clare Deady and Adrian King

• Wind Ensemble conducted by Calvin Hunter

• String Orchestra conducted by Steven Lake

• Recorder Ensemble conducted by Wendy Russell and Allison Nicholson

SCYO’s Musical Director is Clare Deady, a dedicated Education Queensland Instrumental Music Teacher. Local music teachers and guest conductors assist SCYO at various times throughout the year.

 For special occasions other groups are formed including:

• Senior Strings Orchestra using String musicians from the Concert Orchestra and conducted by Dr Andrew Paszkowski.
• Electric Strings - Groups of string musicians rehearse and perform pieces on the SCYO’s quartet of Electric String Instruments.
• Smaller Chamber/Ensemble groups are formed for performances at private functions.
